Eruptions, Earthquakes & Emissions | Smithsonian Global Volcanism Program | #tectonics #animation

The "Eruptions, Earthquakes, & Emissions" web application (or "E3") is a time-lapse animation of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes since 1960. It also shows volcanic gas emissions (sulfur dioxide, SO2) since 1978 — the first year satellites were available to provide global monitoring of SO2. Similar to Alan Jone's Seismic/Eruption desktop program.

Seismic Waves  ds.iris.edu/seismon/swaves

Alan Jones' classic Windows programs Seismic/Eruption and Seismic Waves have been combined into a single online visualization tool. Seismic Waves simulates earthquakes and allows you to watch seismic waves travel around and inside Earth. You may select from 10 earthquake events. It is a product of the IRIS Consortium in collaboration with Binghamton University. Make an earthquake with the Seismic Waves simulator.
